There are lots of videos out there that can help people learn about co-operatives. In this blog post, we’ll look at four types of videos that can help explain what co-operatives are, how they are different from other forms of business, what the co-operative principles are and what they mean, as well as a history of a couple of co-ops.

Without further ado, here’s a few different types of videos that are great resources for introductory learning about co-ops:

The Difference Between Banks and Credit Unions, by Larissa Walkiw

The Difference Between Banks and Credit Unions video was made by Larissa Walkiw as part of a youth engagement strategy by Commonwealth Credit Union (now Servus Credit Union). This video, took the credit union and co-op world by storm, creating a viral sensation before there were many of those. While Servus has moved on from the Young and Free Alberta program, the fun education content endures.
